Your recipe data stays on this device
Recipes, drafts, cooking progress, selected alternatives, and display preferences stay in your browser on this device. SimmerFlow does not upload them, create an account for you, or sell or use them for advertising or analytics.
SimmerFlow uses browser storage only to provide the app: IndexedDB for recipes and cooking sessions, local storage for your light or dark appearance preference, and Cache Storage for the offline app shell. These are functional browser technologies, not advertising or analytics cookies.
You control this data. You can export a recipe, and you can remove local data by clearing this site’s browser data. Clearing it can permanently remove recipes and progress that have not been exported.
Early-development data warning
SimmerFlow is in early development. As the app changes, it may change how locally stored data is structured or read. An update, software defect, browser storage limit, browser or device change, or incompatible data-model change may make recipes, drafts, preferences, or cooking progress unavailable or permanently delete them.
SimmerFlow does not guarantee that locally stored data will remain available, complete, unchanged, compatible, or recoverable. Use the app with this risk in mind. Do not rely on SimmerFlow as the only copy of information you want to keep: export important recipes and store the exported files somewhere you control.
Essential hosting data
This static site is delivered through Cloudflare Pages. Like any website host, Cloudflare processes technical request information such as your IP address, request headers, the page address, and the time of the request to deliver and protect the site. Recipe content stored in your browser is not sent to Cloudflare by SimmerFlow.
Where the GDPR or UK GDPR applies, the legal basis for this essential processing is the controller’s legitimate interest in delivering and securing the site. Cloudflare’s handling, retention, and international transfers are governed by its own privacy policy.
Your choices and rights
Because your recipes remain on your device, export or delete them directly in your browser. For questions about essential hosting data, contact the controller above. Where applicable, you may also have rights to access, correct, erase, restrict, object to, or complain about the processing of personal data with your local data-protection authority.
An early version for your own cooking decisions
SimmerFlow is an early version. The provided recipes are selections we think are good, not a promise that a dish will work for you or be suitable for your circumstances.
You decide whether and how to cook. Check ingredients, equipment, food safety, cooking temperatures, allergies, and dietary needs before preparing or serving food. Do not rely on SimmerFlow for medical, dietary, or food-safety advice.
To the extent permitted by law, the controller is not responsible for cooking outcomes, food preparation, injury, illness, or loss arising from your use of a recipe. Allergen details are author-provided. When they are absent, SimmerFlow treats them as unknown, not allergen-free.
You are also responsible for the recipe content you create, import, export, or share and for having the rights to use it.
Changes to this notice
If SimmerFlow’s data practices change, this notice will be updated before the changed practice is released.
